Porcelain of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, especially daily-use porcelain, reflects the lifestyle, aesthetic taste, and vision of a better life of the people at that time.
This exhibition selects more than 100 pieces of porcelain from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China collected by Changzhou Hengshan Museum and Changzhou Museum. From the perspective of utensils, it covers practical utensils and furnishing decoration utensils, with rich categories and diverse shapes; From the point of view of ornamentation, it covers flower and bird imagery, figure painting and folk tales. These porcelains complement the colorful secular life and are very traditional folk culture.
As the last stage of handmade porcelain, porcelain in the late Qing Dynasty has gradually disappeared, but this artistic style combined with traditional folk culture has also had an impact on the form of modern porcelain. They are far away from the temple, close to life, and may be able to evoke some memories of a time that is not far away.
